Astro announce Google IDX partnership 🤝

Astro has announced Google IDX as their official online editor partner, offering developers a seamless way to build Astro projects directly in the browser.

Powered by Visual Studio Code and Google Cloud, IDX provides a fast, collaborative development environment without the need for local setup.

Preview Astro starter templates with one click 💫

To kick off the partnership, Astro has refreshed the experience on astro.new, allowing developers to start projects faster. You can now browse previews of Astro’s official starter templates and launch them in your browser with one click.

Additionally, IDX will sponsor $10,000 per month for the ongoing open-source maintenance and development of Astro, ensuring long-term support and benefiting the entire community.
